For black and white fine art photography lovers: ROME!
Pentru iubitorii de arta fotografica alb-negru: ROMA!
I refuse to believe that only shocking & disturbing images can be successful. So I’m continually trying to find beauty everywhere I go. Like in this photo:
Orgame is the first Greek polis of actual Romania mentioned in historical documents (6th Century BC by Hecataeus of Milet). It was a huge city: it seems that most of the about 100 ha is still under the ground!
Later on it was under Roman occupation (1st-5th century AD) and changed its name to Argamum.
Its ruins are waiting to be discovered! Enjoy a picture below. For more photography see the volume on Amazon:
Histria was a Greek city (polis) on the western coast of the Black Sea, close to Danube (named Ister at that time), and probably the first urban settlement (7th Century BC!) in the territory that later will become Romania.
In the first century of our era, Histria was occupied by the Romans. It was destroyed by the invasions of the Avars and the Slavs in the 7th century AD. Now, the ruins are witnesses of its rich history. Enjoy a picture of Histria. For more photography (of Histria and more), see the volume on Amazon:
